Celebrations of Tuesdays and Birth!

This is going to have 2 post in one.

First order of business!

Happy Too Cute Tuesday! I'm so excited to be starting this again with my little lovies Siera and Lauren Ashley. It's been long over due.
Check out Siera's Tuesday!
This was an extra special day because it was also a Mariah Carey(from the 90's) Huur Day as well!
This is life's little equation to explain further.
Mariah Carey Hurr Day = Crazy Unmanageable Curls

I apologize for the poor quality of photos and awkwardness of poses.
It was 25 degrees and I was running late for work.
And Father was trying to figure out how to use my camera phone.
You can only imagine how smoothly that went

Onward shall we!
The second part of this post is dedicated to this little lady/ best friend/sister wife, see below.
It is Kathryn's 25th birthday and I think living a quarter of a century is something that deserves a shout out!

Memory Lane overload....occurring....NOW!

Remember the many times we talked too much about #2
Remember that one time we got stuck in your grandparents bathroom for an hour
Remember that one Vegas trip we'll never forget
Remember when you used to scoot me over when Robbie would snore too loud
Remember when we had too much fun with Teddy Grahams
Remember "When you got to go you got to go"
Remember when 'I got my own show'
Remember how we probably have consumed 15 people's worth of English muffins, peanut butter and bananas for a year
Remember how we went through 2 Double stuffed Oreo packages in a matter of 3 days.
Where did they go? My butt will help you with that

There's more, but I'll spare everyone...Happy Birthday GUUUURL!
And this is our future

Did you know...

 Aw...so normal....not for long.

That you should apply Vaseline to your eyelashes every night before you go to bed?

Okay, I'm not going to lie, but my family genetics have blessed me with naturally curly eyelashes (I have never owned a eyelash curler) paired with semi-decent length.

I found this article via Pinterest about a month ago about the 50 Uses for Vaseline.

At first, yes.
I've always heard the magic of Vaseline, but always found it an extremely awkward product to use besides for its intended purposes.
After reading the article, I contemplated about trying a couple of the uses and found it extremely helpful in the beauty department.

For the past month I have been applying a small amount of Vaseline to my eyelashes before I go to bed. The article states that doing this keeps your eyelashes healthy and helps them grow thick and longer due to the oils protecting the roots.

Think about it like your hair. They tell you not to wash your hair everyday for a reason. You hair grows when you let the natural oils sit in your roots, leading to healthier and happy hair.

Well after this past month, I can say that I feel like my lashes are healthier and happier as well.
They seem to have improved on the thickness and length.

Take that, Brooke Shields! No one needs Latisse!

Give it a try and let me know how it goes, I'd love to see other people with beautiful Flirty Lashes.

oh brother.

The other day my brother sent me a picture, showing off his newly pierced ears.

I would have loved to word vomit all over it but this is all I have to say:

Did he go to 'Jared'?

I'll support whatever he chooses in life.

And in 10 years I'll support he's decision to not wear them anymore.
5 bucks.

Nice People Exist.

Yes, this happened.

This lovely lady went above and beyond and actually redecorated my cubey for me.
Seriously, this is one of the nicest things someone has done for me in a long time!
And I know it's only a Photoshop job, BUT STILL. She didn't have to. It definitely brightened up my day.

Thanks Little Lady!

You made this little lady smile.

About time.

Mr. Man of Mine and myself, we have a slight addiction to sweets. Cupcakes and cookies most of the time, but candy is a crowd pleaser as well.
As usual I destroyed my cupcake, and don't let Mr. Man fool you, he truly believes that 'Nothing Says Love Like Cupcakes' even though his face would say otherwise.

-Trying on a jacket at Sports Authority and the woman helping you says that the jacket you're trying on looks great because it's made for high school students.

Me: I know I have a child-sized body. I'm 24.

(awkward silence)

Woman: OH no no no, that's not what I meant. I just meant you are petite.

(yeah sure. nice, save.)

-Buying a baby gift for a shower I was attending and a couple comes up to you and asks you what you were buying you're "little guy."

I'm glad I've never had a baby and yet someone believes that I could possibly be  going into my third trimester.

-When your relationship gets to the point where you don't care what you look like in public and have no shame.

Mr. Man: What are you wearing to the movies? Cause if you're wearing normal clothes then I'll change.

Me: No, of course I'm wearing sweats and don't feel like changing.

Lazy sticks together.

Cubey Makeover

Everyone meet my cube.
Hi, Lo's cube!
Why you look so blue?

My cube is sad and depressed and needs much attention.
Grant, I am new to the job and over time I'm sure it'll look better with random things I bring to it.
With rumors of the office possibly getting made-over and me just being too busy to really decorate, my cube is upsetting and at loss of color.

It needs a make-over, big time.
This space clearly does not reflect my mood or personality what-so-ever.
I need help.
Any ideas?

So if any of you would like to donate to my cube make-over, you are more than welcome.
You can contribute by sending me a snail mail card, or a funny picture, or maybe even a plant.
Request my address you can email me at ljacobson22{at}gmail.com.
And you thought I was kidding. Ha!
Not this girl.

I contemplated about a fish, but then I got worried that over the weekends the fish would be deprived of much needed nourishment and love.
So a plant pet is the next best thing.
Maybe flowers?
Who doesn't like flowers?
I know I like them!

I thought about possibly stringing colorful streamers so when others enter they know exactly where the party is located.
But that idea was sadly put down by Mr. Man of Mine.
He's most likely right.

My dream is to one day have a post with my updated and cozy cube!
Here's to dreaming!

FACT #16

Deer never continue to run to the other side of the road.

Instead they insist on stopping right in front of your car, mesmerized by the light beaming from your head lights, forcing you to stop your moving vehicle to a heaping stop.

So far so good.

Now that I actually feel like a human being and not a walking zombie, I have been able to get back to doing things I like to do.
I've been quite proud of myself.
I've been working on these resolutions of mine.

-I tried a new recipe
-Signed up for a half marathon
-Wore red lipstick (took some adjustment)

Yesterday, I was a baking fool.
I tried a recipe I found on Pinterest for Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Muffins.
Wow, that was a mouthful.
Let me repeat it for everyone.
Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Muffins.
Use Peanut butter as frosting and add a slice of banana, and you've got yourself a treat!

Hope you cheerios are having a great weekend!

The Time for Resolutions

I never in my life have made resolutions.
Well, maybe as a young child where my resolutions probably revolved around eating more cookies and getting the boy I was in love with to love me back.

But this year I felt like I could/should do these.
I need more structure and like my goal says I will be more decisive! And in order to create structure, I have to decide what I'm going to do.
That resolution is for Mr. Man of Mine, so is the more loving one.
Maybe the lipstick one too, just to remind him what a Hot Mama he's got!

Prime years babe, Prime years are here!

Funny thing about lipstick.
When I was younger, so as in a year ago, I still felt like lipstick reminded me of older women. My grandmother, aunts, my mother (Wait! Mother, if you're reading this, you're not old).
But honestly, I see why.
I think there comes a time in every woman's life where they just want to feel like a woman, and not a girl.
I am WAY over due to for my womanhood.
(Not Shark week, but you know what I mean.)

I'll compromise.
Look like a Hot Tamale Woman, but have fun like a child!

PS. I'm really excited, I just wrote the outline to the book I'm writing!

What are your resolutions?

Let's not forget...

That after coughing for 3 weeks.
And one Emergency Room trip.

Let's just finish it off with the stomach flu, why don't we?

Is it too late to post about Christmas?
I don't think so.
Christmas was good at the Jacobson house.
It was just the 5 of us as always; small and quiet.
Just because it was us didn't mean there was a lack of wrapping because as usual there was an abundance of paper and boxes.
Lets not forget to mention my stash of gifts looked fairly similiar to that of a 9 year olds.
Because apparently my mother thinks there can never be too many Hello Kitty gifts.

I still use them anyways.
And as for lately.
It's been nice.
Pretty sunsets.
Nails ready for New Year's Eve.
Family came and ate lunch with me in Park City.
Christmas lights.
Large goggles.
and Mr. Man of Mine.
