Awkward and Awesome Going Away...

Speaking of awkward, let's go through the awkward photos from my going away bowling party in California. I'll be posting the other photos later on this week.
Hope you're having a fabulous 'Hump Day.'

Awkward
+Sending a request to Pinterest that I wanted to start a profile, and being sent on the 'waiting list.' Especially, when others got theirs immediately?!
What the heck?

+In a public place when you run into someone from high school, but you know that you know them, but not enough to actually say hi.
And you know they are thinking the exact same thing.

+Waking up with bug bites, stripping the sheets off the bed and noticing a spider coming right out of the sheets.

+The Christmas gift I'm going to attempt to make for Mr. Man of Mine.
It's going to be awesome and awkward!
Go best girlfriend award.

Awesome
+Starting a new job!

+The newest Tommy Hilfiger television commercials.
I am loving them this whole year.

+That today is Siera's Birthday!

+The Chris Brown dance moves I showcased at the bowling alley.

Too Cute Tuesday

Happy Too Cute Tuesday, lovies!
Here is my family's too cute puppy.

Everyone say 'hello' to Missy.
Hi, Missy!

Don't let this cute, soft and cuddly face fool you, because she's a monster 99% of the time.
But yet I still love smothering her and having her follow me around the house like a little baby chick.

"ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM!"

Goodbye, Disneyland.
After working for the Mouse for over 6 years, Friday, was finally my long awaited last day as a "Cast Member."
The last time I clocked out, wore that awful costume, served, used my ID.

*Disregard my ID picture, I was young and dumb, thought that blonde was a good color for me. And can we say that I'm happy that I finally was able to "grow into my face."

I felt like I was leaving family.
I hired in when I was 18 years old, right out of high school and now I'm leaving 24 years old, and a college graduate.
I pretty much grew up at Disneyland.
How many people do you know get to do that?

Here's to the last 6 years of my life, where I was part of...

The downfall of the "Octodog"
Feeding cotton candy to the ducks
4,545,223 Managers
Sandy-Dandy pudding treats
1 Fire scare
4 pairs of "Shoes for Crews"
5 million "corners" and "behinds"
The time before we had served breakfast
When every shift started at 11:15 a.m.
2 fallings onto the trash cans
About 50 Ciopinnio spills on my shirt
Moment of shovels filled of ketchup
4 pound blue-blown glass plates
"Did someone say 'fish 'n chips'?"
Throwing things in the water I didn't want to pick up
8 name tags I lost
The "busser dance"
Playing catch with bread rolls and baskets
Participating in the 1st and ONLY annual "Busser Olympics"
15 aprons checked out at one time
Water Fights
3 earthquakes
When the carpet used to be green.
2 tubs of silver that I've thrown away
World of Color
The day the drunk guy jumped into the water
1 "Starfish of the Month"
and last but not least

the "ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM!"

I'm sure I am missing several moments, but these are the firsts that stuck in my head.
I know I am speaking a foreign language to most, but I hope my fellow Disney Folk get a kick out of these.

I am officially a Utahan.
For the second time.

*Altitude + freezing air + running = my lungs want to kill me.

Thank you Pinterest for this baby and his hat

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

I am thankful for followers like yourself
and pumpkin pie
and people that might make me this beanie.
Amen.

Awkward and Awesome Thanksgiving Week

All these photos represent what my days have been consisting of:
Piles and Piles of boxes
Trying new eateries
Consuming delicious food
Making absurd amounts of Honey Spiced Cookies with my roommate

Awkward
+When a person comments on your name tag stating where you are from and having the most uncomfortable conversation.
Man: Oh you're from Pleasant Grove, Utah?
Me: Oh yes, I grew up out there.
Man: Hmm, I don't know where that is?
Me: Oh! Utah? It's two states away.
Man: I know where Utah is.
That is when I said nothing more and turned around and walked my shame right back to the kitchen.

+That moment when you've spelled a word so many times it seems to look as though you've been spelling it wrong all along.
Is that how it's really spelled?

+The uncomfortable age when it becomes inappropriate for grown women to wear pigtails or pigtail braids.
Camping and Winter Sports are the only exceptions to this rule.

+When musical artists participate in commercials for cars or razors and use it as an excuse to put their own music in the background.
I always feel uncomfortable with this idea.

Awesome
+Overhearing someone at work saying how they almost cried when they found out that I was quitting and moving two states away.

+Cookies. Aren't they just awesome?

+My going away bowling party was great, and I'm truly going to miss everyone.
Who says feeling loved by others isn't a great feeling.

+Spending the day with one of my Ultimate Sister Wife, Kathryn

Can this be true?

So does this mean that since they are now televising "side-ponies" in national commercials, like Target's, that it's socially acceptable to wear one in public?

Or is it not?

America's Unsolved Mystery.

Oh Disney, you should never let me and my friends in that place.
No person is safe.

FACT #15

You know things are big when the first thing your grandma shows you is the front cover of Star Magazine with a Justin Bieber scandal on the front.
Followed by a head shake in disgust and disappointment.

"Can you believe he got that girl pregnant?!?!"

We are women. And we will always be interested in Pop Culture.

Awkward and Awesome Wednesday baby!

Well this fortune isn't awkward at all.
Why, Panda Express? Why?!?
This is why I choose not to eat you, ever.

But as soon as I opened it my cookie fell on the floor at work, which automatically out-rules the "5 second rule."
So does that mean it won't come true because I wasn't able to eat it?
Or is fate trying to mess with my head and add some extra brain mush to all the rest of the mush that's going on up there?

Oh life, why can't you just play along.

Awkward
+Hanging out with a bunch of people, probably telling a hilarious story, when a ping pong gets thrown and likes to hit me right in the boob.
Yeah I said it.
Boob.

+When you need to blow your nose and there is no tissue available.
Where's Alison Milone or Anna Mefford when I need them?
My tissue-ready misses.

+My fortune in my cookie.

+Being that person in the household that ends up finishing off the Oreo container and the shame that comes with it.

+When I opened Blogspot, and the top 3 posts from the people I follow were all about The Hunger Games.
I need to find out what this is all about.

+Strangers assuming that you are married and then the awkward response of correcting them.
Um no sir, I am not married. I'm just this old.
just kidding, I'm probably too young to be married anyways.

Awesome
+The ice cold glass of milk I drank and used to wash down the embarrassment and shame that came with eating those Oreos.

+Random and last minute invite to the Real Salt Lake/ LA Galaxy game.
Gosh, other sports. You need to find fans that are this crazy/fun and maybe I'd enjoy you more.

+I will have my first Thanksgiving with my immediate family for the first time in 6 years.

+Finally getting that big girl job.
Marketing Coordinator Extraordinaire.
That is me.

Too Cute Tuesday, Disney Edition Numero Two

Pictures like this make me sad, because it would have been so cute.

Today me, Kathryn, Leslie and Joshua spent the day at Disneyland.
One, because Josh really wanted to ride the new Star Tours.
Two, because they had just put up all their Christmas stuff.
Three, this will probably be the last time we go in a very long time
BECAUSE...
After over 6 years of service to the Mouse I will no longer be working there.

Yes, I got a big girl job.
Finally!
And the crazy part is...I move in two weeks back to my roots and old stompin' ground of Utah.
Life changed fast.
And I don't see it slowing down anytime soon.
Buckle up for some craziness.

Here it comes...

A whole lot of change is coming my way.

Make way for some anxiety, tears, stress and fears.

And of course some excitement.

Is this awkward?

Welcome another Awkward and Awesome Wednesday!
For some reason I thought jumping on my bed and taking pictures of myself was an awesome thing to do. Which now will turn into an awkward moment instead.
So fitting, don't you think?

Awkward
+At a Halloween party this weekend, man dressed as a woman yells, "MOVE! YOU SKINNY B**CH...EAT SOMETHING!"
Then proceeds to throw Snicker candy bars at me.

+My Coppertone girl costume deserves to fall under awkward because the entire night everyone thought I was really naked from the back, but should get credit for being completely awesome in the creativity category.

+Instead of Coppertone girl, people referred to me as the "Naked Girl! Hey hey Naked Girl!"

+Eating at Souplantation yesterday and getting some nasty looks from girls that obviously go there all the time. Mean to say I know, but you should have seen the stank faces.
Are you mad that I took the last cheesy bread stick or something?

Awesome
+Everyone in this world has now learn why they should love me.
I'm a riot.
I make people's days, okay! Ha!

+Coppertone girl costume

+Eating large amounts of sugar

+The autographed Audrey Hepburn photograph hanging on my wall in all these pictures. I got it as a gift years ago and it's still one of the most awesome things I have.

+Got a part as a zombie in a student film!

+Pintrest. I have yet converted to making one for myself. But I find it wildy awesome and I find myself on it for hours.

Hello November.

This is my Too Cute girly friend Siera, we love food and we had a Too Cute Tuesday lunch date.
And we are 70 years old and eat at places like Souplantation because they just have the best-of-everything-buffet, spectacular coupon specials and an ice cream bar like Sizzler.

These girls can't turn down a bargain.
Well, I kind of did the other day. Passed on 30 dollar Steve Madden pumps in my size.
Sadly, I'm still beating myself up about them.

Is anyone mildly curious how it became November already?
Because I find it extremely baffling that 2011 is passing before my laser-revised eyes.
I guess I'm not really sad about it because 2011 wasn't the greatest year for me.
BUT I am seriously so excited for this time of year either way.
I'm fully prepared to wear comfy sweaters and my boots, consume myself with large quantities of baked goods and constantly smelling of pumpkin spices.
I won't hate it at all.

I'm ready for new beginnings and new adventures.
 Bring it on 2012.
