I am not blind.

I see you.
My lack of blogging is not the result of malfunctioned lasik eye surgery.
NO.
It's just a result of laziness, out of school so not wanting to be on the computer, and also I just have a lot going on right now.

So if any of you were worried, no need to be anymore.
It was a success. And amazing. And amazingly fast.
I feel like I went from an old standard box television and got upgraded to a top of the line High Definition televisions you see at Costco.
Have a mentioned that these past few days I feel like I've been living in a blu-ray?
Everything seems so detailed.
Hair
Texture
Features
Now I can REALLY see how old I look.
Oh jeez, why do I keep reminding myself.

Well absence makes the heart grow fonder.
So see you in a week.
I feel a cold coming and I most likely will be needing to call in sick to work.
It's really unfortunate that this has to happen the week that my family is conveniently taking their annual trip to Lake Powell.
How I always get sick for this trip is beyond me.
wink. wink.

Well all I know is that the doctor has put me on large doses of vitamin D and H2O in order to restore my health.
I think this is the best prescription I have ever gotten.

Say Goodbye.

I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 5th grade.
And contacts since my junior year of high school.

Well tomorrow.
I will no longer have to wear either one of those.
Yup cheerios, I will be getting my eyes fixed via lasik technology.

Tomorrow, at 11:30 a.m. pacific time, I will hopefully be another successful survivor of Lasik.

I have seriously dreamt about the day when I could afford or even be able to consider Laser Eye Surgery. And now that that day is tomorrow, I don't know how to feel.
Anxious, excited, and totally nervous.
Really nervous.
Wish me luck and hope that I don't end up more blind coming out of there than I was going in.
If that is the outcome I will now say my goodbyes to the blog world, because my use for a computer and blogging will seem quite pointless and ridiculous.

In a nutshell...I'm totally freaking out right now.
Wish I had someone.

Awkward Wednesday Moment.

Walked past a man on my way out from work.
Out of the corner of my eye as I walked past I thought to myself,
"Does that man have fully tattooed arm sleeves?"

Double-take.

Oh no.

That's just his arm hair.

Too Cute Tuesday...not lost but maybe forgotten.

Woah! Hello, Too Cute Tuesday.
Fancy meeting you here, haha, get it.
Fancy...because I'm getting all fancy for Too Cute Tuesday.
Okay, I will admit that I have a horrible disease that causes me to spit out awful puns frequently.

And there is no cure.

I decided to wear this as my outfit of choice for my birthday.
I feel like every girl/woman should take the time to just indulge themselves in buying anything cute from head-to-toe in celebration of their birth.
I mean look at it as one day a year where you get to be the cutest/prettiest woman because it's your day.
Well it was mine, and even if this outfit might not be someone else's favorite choice, but I felt cute and that makes me happy.
So shove it fashionistas.

P.S. Who wants to guess what I'm watching on the television?

Answer: Amazing reruns of The O.C. that air almost every morning at 10 a.m. on the SOAP network.
Yes, the SOAP network.

Happy Belated and Long-Awaited Awkward and Awesome Wednesday!

First! Let's see how many weddings photos I can ruin with my awkwardness!

Okay, so not every picture turned out this horrible, but leave it to me to bring awkwardness to any joyful and slightly serious event.
Way to go.
Now what have I learned from this experience?
That smiling the entire time at a wedding is required because too much talking results in the said above photographs.

Awkward
+At the cash register and then dumping the month's worth of change all over the counter.
And then the employee helping by pointing out the change I missed on the floor.
Oh jeez thanks, an extra pair of hands would have been nicer.

+Going to a friend's house and their dog greeting me with a nice smell right to the crotch.
Yes dog, I am a woman. And I think we're moving far too quickly for this being the first time we've met.

+Getting a spray tan and noticing that the tannest part of my body are...my hands. Sick.

+Falling asleep on the airplane with nothing to rest your head on, so then your head proceeds to do that embarrassing dance of rocking back and forth. And the only way of waking up is by accidentally running your head into something.

+The So You Think You Can Dance opening theme song. Really? You think for a dance show that they would have something more catchy.

+When people tell me I look a lot younger than what my actual age is.
Compliment? Or not? I don't know how to take it.

+Sitting on a saddle while a whole restaurant "yeee haws" to your birthday.

+3 young boys playing outside and one shouts, "Welcome to the 'Crypts' boys!"
I hope there are no young 'Bloods' in the neighborhood?

Awesome
+Starfish of the month baby!
This is what star employee material looks like.

+The new X-men movie. Although most of my questions about how everything came about were answered.
The only one that was left unanswered and quite possibly the most important question was:
So how did Professor Xavier loose all of his hair?

+Finals! Then 3 weeks off, then......the start of the last 11 weeks of schooling EVER!!!

Too Cute...date night?

Well in celebration for my birthday Mr. Man and I had a great night. With graduations in both of our families we then decided to go out for my birthday the day after, which totally worked out perfectly.
We fed our faces at The Red Iguana, which was said to be the best Mexican food in Utah.
Good Mexican food in Utah??? What???
Yes.
This statement is so true.
And so good.
And I was so full.
And I was so happy.

Then we also got to go see Iron & Wine perform that night.
Let's be honest.
I knew probably two songs, but I will say that concert was very really good.
I would love to go again.

PS. Let's all take note of the birthday card that Mr. Man of Mine got me.
If you didn't notice, parts of the card are in braille.
Braille?
Am I legally blind?
Well no.
But Mr. decided he'd be funny and get me a card in braille just in case my Lasik eye surgery in 3 weeks goes terribly wrong and I become permanently blind.
Geez, thanks.

A year older.

I must be the runt in the family because I am not even close to being their height. On my tippy-toes.

Texas Roadhouse....yum!
So this past week I made my way BACK to Utah to witness my younger brother graduate from high school and.....to celebrate my birthday. Which is funny because I spent my day of birthday actually AT his high school graduation. I'm so proud and excited for him, and I only know wherever he chooses to go he'll make it. And I know that when I was in his shoes I had no clue how much my life was going to change from that point. I can't wait to see what kind of adult he becomes and where he will go.

Although I will say, I love a great occasion to celebrate major events and what not, but really? Does the ceremony have to be 3 hours? For some reason I don't remember mine being that long?
Or maybe I'm far too old that that part of my memory has been lost?
Most likely a combination of both.

It was so nice just to be home and be with family. Even though according to the pictures above my brothers would disagree with that statement. It was also great just being home for my birthday, since I've moved to California I can't even remember the last time I was with my family on my actual birthday. I've gotten so used to cards and phone calls over the years.

I also got to celebrate some with Mr. Man of Mine as well. We did pick up a game of miniature golf, which I don't believe that I have played since high school. Which makes sense since everyone else that was there was actually in high school. Whatever! We had fun.
Oh and did I mention that Mr. Man is a good cook/baker. He made this lovely cake for me!
Now you wish you had a Mr. Man also huh?

toasted coconut cake with custard.

who do you think won?

my hole in one.

then ben stole my thunder and got one right after me. rude.
