The results are in.

The Coppertone Girl it is!

Lucky guesser is....Erin!

I seriously had so much fun with this costume.
I will say that I really out did myself this Halloween.
The Beyonce, Single Ladies from two years ago was beat this year.
I got so many compliments on it, and I'll probably sport it another Halloween.

One thing learned...I should never go blonde.

MMM Sunday...

Love me some

Just wish I could cuddle with someone besides reverting to my pillows.

A lot of Awkward and Awesome

Here are my awkward photos. Free facials at the hospital and my King Sour Patch (5 sour patches together)
Winning.

Awkward
+Stating confidently that it's Thursday, when in reality it was actually Monday.
I need a hobby, or a real job already.

+Going to interviews and realizing halfway through them that I hadn't shaved my legs.

+I eat cold cereal more at night, than I do in the morning.
Honey Nut Chex is my current "kick".

+Someone declaring that they would just love to nestle my with my hair.
Hey, Hey, we aren't that close.

+Randomly scratching your head and then having some unwanted guest start to take over the job for me.
This would be great if I knew you well enough and if I had asked for your assistance.

+Walking and someone stops to take a picture of you with their cellphone. Then proceeds to walk away and not say anything about it.
Explain yourself!

+When people on reality television shows get mad and start fighting, they always have to repeat the same sentence 3 times to get the point across that they are angry.
Back off bro! Back off bro! Back off bro!
(Wait, come again? I didn't catch you the first time)

+When I play Words With Friends, after every move the advertisements are always for online dating.
What are you trying to say?

+Walking out to tell the attendant at the tanning salon that my bed isn't working, and them replying with,
"You're in the wrong room."
Red face, not caused from sunburn.

+Lighting a birthday candle for a table, and the mother asking,
"Can she blow it out now?"

Awesome
+Bought a bag of Sour Patch Kids and the first thing I pull out is the King of all Sour Patch Kids!
Bless your soul.

+I am obsessed with Hair tutorials. Borderline unhealthy.

+Cheesecake Factory's Pumpkin Cheesecake.
Heaven on a fork, for my taste buds and in my stomach.

+I had a great weekend

+Things are starting and are going to keep getting better.

+I bought lipstick for the first time in my life.
Apparently, Carmex chapstick isn't considered in professional attire.
But I'm really excited to start wearing it now.
Don't worry Carmex, we'll be fine.

+Going to Utah in two weeks for a little visit and an interview lined up while I'm there!

Too Cute Tuesday

Today, my feet were able to meet up with my boots for the first time all season.
It's that time of year again where my little Stevie's are happy little campers.
I pretty much wear these boots from the first day of fall all the way until the end of winter.
We're practically inseparable.
So I decided that they have well deserved their own Too Cute Tuesday post.

They are extremely comfortable.
Can survive anything.
Match everything (dresses, skirts, jeans, shorts, etc).
Super cute.
And let's not forget their sassy red zipper in the back for some flare and fun.

Who needs a dog?
These babies are my best friends.

Lauren Scissor-hands.

I made this delicious Italian-style salad for our weekly potluck at work.
It was good. And my stomach was happy.

My fingers hurt.
They tend to cramp easily these days.
And not from making this salad, which was actually more relaxing than stressful.
My fingers hurt from all the typing and applying to every job known to man I've done since I've graduated.
Someone and Somethings got to give.
I've gone from writing "Prospective" in subject lines to the little more creative and desperate "Future Employee."
Just learn to love me, people.

Others tell me to relax and a job will present itself.
Well I can't help but not relax when I look at the amount of student loans I have to start paying back in a couple of months.
But I'm a natural-born worrier.
If there really isn't much to worry about, I'll find a way to be worried about something and stress on it.
It's a quality I'm working on, because I have now realized what unnecessary anxiety it causes me.
Crazy? Most likely. And yet I still continue.

Breathe...Relax...A job will come.

Confessions of a 24, charming, witty little lady...

Although I am not a Twilight series fan, I have to admit that I secretly am in love with the wedding scene in the upcoming movie.

No, I am not getting married and planning an event anytime soon.

But if I were, then MAYBE I would look into this as a reference.
Just saying.

*It's like The Notebook, where every girl will compare all their current and future relationships based on whether their partner will love them enough to remind them who they are every day and agree to die together on the same day.
It's called a dream for a reason.

And this STILL does not consider me a fan.

If you were curious...

This was me when I was a little one.
(Not literally, mainly because I was not brought up with an English accent)

Someone recently sent me this via Facebook and said that this video reminded them of me.
Not the girl singing, but the silent Beyonce to the left.
If you know me personally it's quite hard to believe, right?

Ha. Who am I kidding?
That was me. No, that still is me.
I wouldn't be surprised if my child ended up like this also.

I just cured your case of the Tuesday.
Your Welcome.
Happy Tuesday Everyone!

FACT #14

In the middle of an interview probably wasn't the best time to realize that you didn't shave your legs.

Story of my life.

Recent Stranger Danger

No matter how many times you say to just press the "camera" button to take a picture on a cellphone, people still lack the skills of taking basic photographs.
Thus leading up to several awkward attempts to get it right.

No one's camera phone is safe.

Welcome Eli James Frokjer!

Dear Eli James,
Everyone is so happy that you have finally made it into this world, and that you came out perfectly healthy.
You were quite the stubborn little man, being overdue for a whole week which made your mommy extremely uncomfortable.
But you are finally here and the luckiest little boy in the whole world.
You have not only graced your family with your birth but is a sign of such happiness that your family much needed.
You are so loved.
Your daddy would have thought you were the most perfect baby, because you are.
Even though I am not blood, I am so happy that your family has made me part of their family so I can be a small portion of yours.
To the Sweetest thing. Thank you for FINALLY coming.
Take good care of your mommy, Eli.

Love, Your Adopted Auntie Lo

In honor of this little man's birth and his father, Josh and I ran a 5k for the Honoring the Fallen organization this Saturday.

We ran in Sgt. Chad Frokjer's name, who was the husband of a good friend of mine and the daddy of sweet baby Eli.
He recently passed away in June while serving our country in Afghanistan.
I was glad that I got to be a part of this organization and realize how much we need to bring all these soldiers home to their families, wives and children.
Not only was it a good cause but I am glad we had a great time doing it as well.
We chanted along side the Sheriffs during the run, and enjoyed and probably over-extended our rights to free pancakes, massages and Clif bars.
Let's also not forget how happy Josh was that overly happy that the Laker Girls were there.
Perv.

I need this.

"Our patience will achieve more than our force."

I really need to learn this.
Because I am a worrier at heart.
And I can't help but stress over ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.
Time and patience, please have good things happen to me.

Awesome and Awkward Wednesday

I love my friends. You really should be jealous of how awesome we get sometimes. It boggles my mind some of the things we come up with.
We're a blast and a half.
The proof is in the pudding.

Awkward
+Making a personal pit stop at a gas station to specifically pick up sour patch kids, not gas. The doors being locked and having to do the embarrassing walk of shame as the two workers watched in my sugar deprivery.

+An old, wise, Indian co-worker of mine, gazing at my hands and says,
"You are an artist. I can tell by your hands."
Just because I "paint"  my fingernails doesn't qualify me as a full artist, but in his case he got lucky cause his assumptions were correct.

+When people ask me if I love my job.
If only I could tell them my real answer.

+Dancing in a crowd, turning my head in an awesome attempt to "whip my hair back and forth" and having my face run into another person's face.  One more inch and we would have been lip locking.
Oh hello, other face! And personal space!

+That I still have my glasses and contacts from before my Lasik surgery. Do I keep them subconsciously thinking that my eyes might go back?
I don't even know.

+Closing up at work, walked passed a sweet pickle on the ground that I had missed sweeping. And then the pickle got up and ran straight at me.
You figure it out from there.

Awesome
+Not having a real job. Oh wait,  I forgot this isn't awesome.

+The letter I wrote to Ellen Degeneres giving her reasons as to why she should hire me.
The top reason being that we could combine our dancing forces to create our own dance crew and dominate every competition in Southern California.

+Siera bought me the cutest graduation present to remind me to believe in myself.
Oh and she's just down right awesome.

+People tell me I'm a special type of person, in the non-making fun of kind of way.
I guess I'm kind of starting to realize how unique and awesome I am.

+My friend Leslie is going to have her baby any day now and I just can't wait to meet little week-over-due Eli James Frokjer.

+My bed. It's better than yours I'm almost positive.
I have testimonials to prove it.

+Random outbursts of Lady Gaga that I shout out in the middle of the kitchen.
"NEBRASKA, NEBRASKA I love ya! You and I!"
Disneyland, you're going to miss me and my hours of entertainment I have provided for you.

Too Cute Tuesday!

Siera and I took a picture today after our little lunch date for Too Cute Tuesday.
But then my timer on my camera made our pictures turn out severely awkward and not displaying any of our finer attributes.
So here are the pictures I promised from my Senior Portfolio Show... two weeks late.

It was so great and I met a lot of awesome new people.
Thanks family and friends for coming and supporting me.
And thanks Father for building my awesome booth (everyone raved about it and I gave you some credit, I guess).
I wish you could have seen it in real life.
Bachelor's degree....check.
Now it's time to get a real job.
We'll see where that takes me.
